This is very true. There are scientific articles saying that even if you exercise everyday, 8 hours of sitting at work will kill you the same way as if you never exercised. Had this is exactly why. It all depends of the intensity of the exercise, how hard you do the exercise. I it is too easy, you don’t get the adaptations or results you need or want and you quit. If it is too hard, you get injured or can’t keep it up and you quit.

So you need to find the right type of exercise and the right intensity and the right duration for each workout. Here you can find useful and simple advice as far as intensity goes.
