Prediabetes Cutoff Called Cost-Effective

Decreasing the cutoff for pre-diabetes means more people will be diagnosed as pre-diabetic and more people will be treated. By definition, the US population automatically becomes sicker; but it gives us the opportunity to catch more people at risk before they are diagnosed with diabetes in the hopes of prolonging and saving more lives.
