You can try the introduction-reintroduction method: introduce the new food, if the child doesn’t want to eat it remove it completely from the table, and reintroduce the food at a later occasion (days to weeks later).

You can try to vary method of cooking, textures, flavors, and combinations. You can also try to make your child take part of the whole process: choosing a recipe, choosing and buying foods (fresh market might be more successful than supermarket), cooking, serving.

Explore fruits and vegetables using the “Fruits & Veggies – More Matters website (former “5 A Day”). WIC and the Child Care Food and Nutrition Programs in each state have websites with healthy recipes, useful information, and educational activities. You can find their national websites and many other resources at vicilanaya.weebly.com/nutrition-resources.html.

      Thank you,
